Adopting vegetarian cuisines in our daily meal may due to several reason such as ethical consensus, health, religious, political, environmental, cultural, aesthetic, and even economic. For many Chinese religious practices, group of peoples will normally consume vegetarian exclusion of meats on the 1st and 15th of every month. To cater such demand of customers, many vegetarian and organic restaurants and cafe had been emerge from time to time.

For the goodness of all readers of this post would like to further highlight the different groups of vegetarian customers that commonly we are aware:
  • Ovo vegetarianism - includes eggs but not dairy products.
  • Lacto vegetarianism - includes dairy products but not eggs.
  • Lacto-Ovo vegetarianism - includes animal/dairy products such as eggs, milk, and honey.
  • Raw veganism - includes only fresh and uncooked fruit, nuts, seeds, and vegetables. Vegetables can only be cooked up to a certain temperature.
  • Fruitarianism - permits only fruit, nuts, seeds, and other plant matter that can be gathered without harming the plant.
  • Buddhist vegetarianism (also known as su vegetarianism) - excludes all animal products as well as vegetables in the allium family (which have the characteristic aroma of onion and garlic): onion, garlic, scallions, leeks, or shallots.

As commonly practice during 1st of Chinese calender visited Kuan Yin Vegetarian Restaurant for dinner and realise its crowded and customers are waiting outside the restaurant for vacant tables.

Overall, the vegetarian they serve really not bad and all "meat" very taste alike especially the squid in the claypot tofu.
