Jonker88 @ Jonker Walk, Melaka

I bet there are lots of reviews of this famous shop along Jonker Walk in Malacca already but since i've just been there recently, i might as well express my opinion here regarding this shop. It is none other than Jonker88.

The shop is famous for their baba-nyonya type of food such as Nyonya Laksa, Laksa, Cendol, Durian Cendol, ABC and lots more. The Nyonya Laksa is similar to the Penang Laksa except it is less sour and more to spicy. There are a lot of customers queuing up whole day especially during weekends.

For your information, there are 2 queues where the queue on the left is for desserts such as Cendol while the other queue on the right is for food like Laksa. This shop practises self-service so you'll need to have a friend to find/book a place to sit while the other queue to buy food. The price of the foods there are not so expensive as a bowl of Cendol cost around RM3.00 while Laksa cost around RM3.00-4.00 only.

Overall it's a nice place to rest your legs and have a nice cool dessert after a long walk at Jonker Walk.

Ah Sang Bak Kut Teh @ Sungei Way, PJ

Ah Sang Bak Kut Teh
No.531, Jalan SS9A/12,
Seri Setia, Sungei Way,

Thanks to Pui Xi recommendation. This place only opens during for late breakfast till lunch...Their peak hour starts at 12:00pm daily. You have come early to grab a seat or else, you need to stand and wait. This time round, I went with my colleagues during our friday lunch hours which is slightly longer (1 hour 30 minutes)...We ordered pork rib, 3 layer meat (fat and lean meat), pig tail, pig stomach, golden mushroom, black mushroom, vegetable, tau pok - all this can be found in the claypot itself.
As usual, Pu Er (Poh Lei [cantonese]) is my main choice of tea. This is good to flush off the oily food we consumed.

I had write on this restaurant previously (Jyu Raku). This time, I drop by bringing Si Jie to try out. She also loves it (the food) as well as the environment. Please make sure you make reservation before you come. Don't try to walk-in as it will disappoint you. This restaurant will be pack during dinner time especially weekend. The best time is to come during lunch hour.

This shop runs by her daughter (a well known May Keng Lam Mee at Jalan Pudu). The food is about the same as mother shop. Well, during lunch hours, this place is packed with people because nearby office worker will come to here...What is so nice about this Lam Mee? Well, I not really fancy about Lam Mee so I not too sure how to describe it. But for sure the taste is much better than other place. Probably the soup base. Not too starchy...
